Introduction

In the face of technological development, it is necessary to pay particular attention to the protection of privacy. Catsitter is committed to complying with the European General Data Protection Regulation, in force since 25 May 2018. The personal data collected by Catsitter is fully subject to this new regulation.

 

1 / Collection of personal information

Generally speaking, your personal data is not automatically recorded when you browse the www.catsitter.lu website. Cookies do not collect any personal data, they simply allow a better browsing experience.

In some cases, in particular when you want to leave a message on the site, you will be asked to communicate your surname(s), first name(s) and e-mail address (hereafter your "Personal Data" or "Data"). By providing this information, you expressly agree to your data being processed by Catsitter for the purposes indicated in point 2 below.  In the event of further processing for a purpose other than the one below, Catsitter undertakes to provide you with prior information about this other purpose.

You have the right to object, to withdraw your Personal Data and to withdraw your consent. You may also request the transfer of your Personal Data.

You may object to the processing of your Personal Data where we have a legitimate interest (or the interest of a third party) in doing so and where there is a reason relating to your particular circumstances that you wish to object to the processing. Your request will be processed within one (1) month once your identity has been confirmed.

You will not be charged for accessing your Personal Data (or for exercising any of your other rights). However, we may charge you a reasonable fee if your request for access is manifestly unfounded or improper. We may also refuse to grant your request for the same reasons.

We may ask you for specific information to help us confirm your identity and to ensure that your right of access to that information (or to exercise any other of your rights) is respected. This is a security measure to ensure that we do not disclose your Personal Information to anyone who is not authorised to view it.
